Operation Instruction Using Control Plan Data

We’re excited to introduce a powerful new feature in the t-method production planning module—the Operation Instruction function! Now, you can create work and inspection instructions based on Control Plan data and process flowcharts.

How Can This New Feature Improve Our Processes?
  • You can select which Control Plan columns you would like to include in the instruction.
  • As the control plan is built up accodring to the process steps defined in the process flow, using the new function ensures that the instruction follows the process flowchart’s operation sequence.
  • The user can predefine necessary columns to provide clear guidance for operators and inspectors.
  • Versioning allows you to avoid manual signatures and printing function gives you the opportunity to generate ready-to-use documents.

The production planning module already links FMEA and Control Plan data, ensuring consistency across documents. This new feature extends the data consistency to instructions.

What Types of Documents Can Be Created with the Operational Instruction Function?
  • Work Instructions: Define operations and sequences as outlined in the process flowchart.
  • Inspection Instructions & Test Plans: Help inspectors with details on measurable characteristics, methods, and instruments from the Control Plan.
  • Safety & Accident Prevention Attachments: Add safety guidelines to production documents.
  • Any document requiring process flowchart and Control Plan data.
Why Do We Say the New Feature Provides Flexible Options?

Beyond inheriting data from the Control Plan, users can freely configure additional columns containing essential instruction details.

  • Insert images (e.g., OK/NOK product photos, correct tool use, operation steps).
  • Add text elements (e.g., operation descriptions, safety warnings).
  • Create lists (e.g., required protective equipment, necessary tools).
  • Integrate t-method master data (e.g., products, tools, measuring devices, partners, employees).
